Sanlorenzo has announced two new yachts to be unveiled at this year’s September boat shows: the semi-displacement SD90/s and the sport yacht SP110.
The entry-level model of Sanlorenzo’s revamped semi-displacement range, the SD90/s is the third chapter in a success story that began with the SD96 and SD118. With this new configuration, Sanlorenzo introduces a series of innovative features conceived from ongoing stylistic and technological research, including hybrid propulsion.
The SD90/s represents a greener proposition thanks to materials from alternative sources and a “sustainable hybrid” propulsion system developed in collaboration with Siemens. Zuccon International Project designed the SD90’s exterior lines, and Patricia Urquiola designed the interior.
As a result of thorough research, and development of low environmental impact technologies, without overlooking the importance of the yacht’s driving experience, Sanlorenzo has designed the new SP110 model. This advanced, progressive, and revolutionary yacht opens up a new division in the yachting sector, combining environmental awareness with unique comfort and unparalleled performance.
Sanlorenzo’s SP110 project aims to write a new success story and position the yard within the sports yachts world with a concept that breaks the mould. The SP110 represents a technological platform that combines innovation and sustainability with a design that maximises comfort.
This project was made possible by a collaboration between Sanlorenzo’s product development manager, Tilli Antonelli, and highly skilled industry professionals: Bernardo Zuccon for the exteriors, Marco Arnaboldi for the hull design, and Piero Lissoni for the interiors.

Due to its captivating aesthetics and innovative architectural layout, the Sanlorenzo Alloy superyacht has won the best ‘Semi-displacement or Planing Motor Yacht, 40m and Above’ category at the World Superyacht Awards 2022.
Internationally recognised as a nautical atelier, Sanlorenzo is the world’s first mono-brand shipyard producing custom-designed and custom-built yachts and superyachts. These vessels possess an expression of refined luxury combined with advanced technology and the utmost attention to detail and craftsmanship.
The culmination of an experimental typology, developed over the years through collaboration with Zuccon International Project for the exterior and Christian Liaigre for the interior, Sanlorenzo explores new scenarios and offers owners and guests new perspectives onboard.
Sanlorenzo ALLOY is a 44.5 metre fast-displacement model built entirely in aluminium with a layout that moves away from a traditional arrangement to enhance life onboard. The owner’s cabin is the crown of this innovative approach; it is conceived as a 147 m2 private apartment and organised over three interconnected levels, with indoor and outdoor areas.
This superyacht opens out to the seascape by offering astonishing indoor and outdoor spaces. The 83 m2 sun deck provides multiple options for relaxation and socialising, and the large 102 m2 beach club opens on three sides, allowing full connection with the sea.
The collaboration between the Sanlorenzo team and Bernardo Zuccon, who oversaw the design of the exterior lines, made it possible to conceive, design and build a 490 GT three-deck yacht that retains sleek, core lines but at the same time offers megayacht solutions.
Sanlorenzo’s ability to give new meaning to nautical design, give life to bespoke projects, and realise the client’s specific needs, continues to reward Sanlorenzo with new successes at an international level.

Sanlorenzo have released their preliminary results for 2021 declaring a significant increase in both net revenue and adjusted EBITDA with double-digit growth envisaged for 2022.
The following gives a summary of these results and the outlook for 2022:

Putting the IPS engines in a separate compartment under the deck of a vast stern platform not only leaves the rest of the hull free for a wide variety of accommodation layouts but also creates a spectacular beach club area to rival craft twice its size.
Under way it makes the perfect spot for storing an entire fleet of tenders and toys, while at anchor it transforms into the ultimate outdoor party zone with sunpads, seats and a hydraulic teak stairway descending into the sea.
There’s more to the BG72 than just a clever aft deck, though. Those glass doors lead through into a water-level full beam space that can either be fitted out as a fabulous saloon with a view or as the coolest owner’s cabin you’ll find on any 72-footer.
A top speed of 31 knots and a range of over 800nm at 10 knots ensures this futuristic adventure yacht also has the performance to back up its purposeful looks, as well as the finish and build quality inherited from its parent company Sanlorenzo. Think of it as a kind of Range Rover for the sea and you won’t be far wrong.

Sanlorenzo reconfirming its position as the world’s leading mono-brand shipyard.
Sanlorenzo is once again at the top of the annual Global Order Book, the ranking compiled and published by Boat International – the magazine of reference in the yachting world – which certifies the trend of the worldwide market for yachts over 24 metres in length.
With 117 projects in 2021 equivalent to a total length of 4,159 metres, more than 31 projects and 1,000m more than in 2020, Sanlorenzo once again confirms itself as the first mono-brand shipyard in the world in its sector, consolidating a constant growth trend over the years.
In line with the trend highlighted by the “Running Hot” Global Order Book analysis, which underlines a strong increase in the manufacturers’ order book for the years 2022 and 2023, the company – listed on Euronext STAR since 2019 – is supported by a record backlog that covers a significant part of the revenues expected in the next two years.
The prestigious result of the Global Order Book 2022 comes at the end of a year of great successes for Sanlorenzo: among the most recent, the contract signed by the Superyacht Division for a 72Steel, the largest superyacht ever built by the shipyard, destined to become the new flagship of the fleet, while in September Sanlorenzo announced an exclusive strategic partnership with Siemens Energy for the construction of a fuel cell system for the generation of electricity in a 50-metre superyacht, scheduled for delivery in 2024. It will be the world’s first installation of a fuel cell system in a superyacht.
Sustainability and innovation are essential values for Sanlorenzo and are present in the development of each new project. Propulsion systems with a reduced environmental impact are flanked by a design that is increasingly projected towards the future with the revolutionary concept of asymmetry, featured on the SL90A, SL96A and SL120A models, demonstrating the company’s strength and determination to achieve increasingly ambitious goals.

A collaboration focused on developing new solutions to reduce the environmental impact of motor yachts.
Sanlorenzo opened the Cannes Yachting Festival announcing the signing of an exclusive agreement with Siemens Energy for the joint development of solutions for the integration of fuel cell technology in the 24-80m yachting sector and two contracts for the development and the purchase of next generation diesel electric and hybrid systems. The agreement will enable the creation of new technologies aimed at significantly reducing the impact of yacht usage on the marine ecosystem, with significant benefits in terms of environmental sustainability. The collaboration will be implemented in three areas:
Massimo Perotti, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Sanlorenzo, stated: “We are very proud to have signed these agreements with Siemens Energy, one of the world’s leading energy technology companies; by sharing our experience and resources, we will be able to best meet the challenges of sustainability by pioneering the development of a new generation of technologies that will mark a major shift in the yachting industry”. Ermanno Delogu, Country Business Unit Head of Siemens Energy, stated “Together with our partner Sanlorenzo, we support our customers on their way to a more sustainable future. We have the know-how, and innovative technologies. Together we turn ideas into reality and aim to play a leading role in the yachting sector”.
